2face Idibia to be conferred with honorary degree by Igbinedion University
Another honour is set to be bestowed on Nigerian music star, Tuface Idibia as the Benue native has been shortlisted with many others as deserving of a honorary degree from Igbinedion University.
The 40-year-old singer who rose to super stardom after Kennis Music released his debut album, ‘Face 2 Face‘ in 2004, made the the revelation in an Instagram post.
The event is set to take place at the institution’s campus in Okada, Benin on May 10.
‘Ladies and gentlemen! I’m plsd 2 let u know that I’m going 2 be Conferred with an honorary degree @ Igbinedion University on the 10th of may in okada,” the excited ‘African Queen’ singer said, adding, ‘U are all invited. #GRATEFUL #igbinedionuniversity Thank u for the honour.‘
Some of the former Plantashun Boiz member’s numerous awards include; Channel O Music Video Awards, Soundcity Music Video Awards, MTV Africa Music Awards, BET Best International Act: Africa, ThisDay Awards (presented to him by the former U.S. President, Bill Clinton), World Music Awards, Black Heritage Awards for Excellence and Nigerian Music Awards.
