Popular Yoruba actor, Sunday Omobolanle aka Papi Luwe is bereaved.
The veteran actor, who is known for his comic roles, revealed he lost his mother while speaking at the burial ceremony of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi‘s grandmother which held in Ile-Ife last Saturday.
Papi Luwe’s first son Sunkanmi Omobolanle, also an actor, confirmed the news to NET saying, ‘Mama is dead. She died on Saturday morning’.
Asked if she was ill, Sunkanmi said, ‘She died of natural causes. She wasn’t ill. She just slept and didn’t wake up.’
The deceased, Omonike Omobolanle, aged 85, will be buried in Oyo state on July 22, according to Sunkanmi
